In this season, we’re taking time to pause and reflect deeply on generosity and need. If we’re honest, the temptation is to cling to one more tightly than the other. This may depend on our experience, personality, family of origin, or how we’ve been shaped by our culture. The truth is that both often co-exist in each person, in each community, at any given time. As people seeking to be formed in the way of Jesus, we think we’re increasingly invited into a life of reliance and service, a life of interdependence and generosity.

This practice is to help us consider what we have, what we need, and the ways that we show up. We invite you to spend time with this form over the coming weeks considering your own needs and abundance. Consider the wholeness or fullness of your life- the spiritual, emotional, physical, relational, and financial aspects of your life. Notice areas of scarcity, lack, dryness, or need. Notice areas where life feels full or abundant.

Take time to reflect. In this season,

What do you want to learn?

What do you need?

What could you teach?

What could you give?

Let these questions guide you as you reflect:
